St. Petersburg City Council member Robert Blackmon is growing his list of mayoral endorsements. Blackmon announced Friday two new endorsements from former St. Pete Mayor Bill Foster and former four-term Tampa Mayor Dick Greco.

On Election Day, Tuesday, November 5th, we will be having a party at Trophy Fish (2060 Central Ave, St. Petersburg 33712) to watch the results roll in. There will be plenty of free food, and some free drinks for our many supporters and volunteers! St. Petersburg City Council candidate Robert Blackmon landed another endorsement Wednesday. Blackmon picked up a nod from the Sun Coast Police Benevolent Association officially offering its support.
“The Sun Coast Police Benevolent Association is proud to inform you of its endorsement of your candidacy for St. Petersburg City Council District 1. We will ask our members, their families and friends to cast their votes for you in the general election,” the letter reads.

One of the area’s largest labor unions is endorsing St. Petersburg City Council candidate Robert Blackmon.
The AFL-CIO West Central Labor Council endorsed Blackmon in his District 1 race against John Hornbeck.

Blackmon has a nice mix of support from throughout the city. He would be the youngest council member and offer another independent viewpoint that would be informed by his deep roots in the city and his business experience. For St. Petersburg City Council District 1, the Tampa Bay Times recommends Robert Blackmon.

St. Petersburg City Council candidate Robert Blackmon is announcing another round of endorsements in his campaign for District 1 representing west St. Pete.
The list, released Friday, includes several elected officials at the local and state level as well as local advocacy groups.

The St. Petersburg Association of Firefighters is backing St. Pete City Council candidate Robert Blackmon in his bid for District 1, representing west St. Pete.
In a letter to Blackmon this week, the group commended Blackmon for his willingness to serve and offered the group’s full backing.
“We believe you will honorably serve the citizens of St. Petersburg City Council, District 1 and the interests of the men and women in the Fire and Emergency Medical Services, who have made the protection of life and property their life’s work,” the letter read.

St. Petersburg City Council candidate Robert Blackmon announced a flurry of endorsements just two weeks after filing to run for the west St. Pete District 1 seat.
The list includes two former St. Pete Mayors, two sitting City Council members, a state Senator and Representative, a Pinellas County School Board member and a Treasure Island City Commissioner.
